Recreational Classes


 

  • J.E.T.S. strives to create a warm, welcoming and positive environment for all children
  • Recreational classes are a great way for children to develop social skills and build friendships
  • Classes are held once per week, classes are 60 or 90 minutes in duration
  • Classes are age and skill specific
  • Classes will help improve balance, strength, flexibility and coordination
  • All children receive a FREE J.E.T.S. leotard or T-shirt and shorts when they begin their membership

Girls recreational classes

Sky Raider: Level 1 (60 minutes)

Ages: 5 -6 (Sky Raider), 7 -8 ( Jr. Sky Raider) and 9 and older (Sr. Sky Raider)

Introduce your child to skill work on tumbling, vault, balance beam, uneven bars, and trampolines. J.E.T.S. coaches guide children through a safe skill set progression suited to meet each child’s individual needs. Skills included are forward and backwards rolls, handstands, cartwheels and much more.

Sky Warriors: Level 2 (60 minutes)

Ages: 5 to 8 (Sky Warrior) 9 and older (Sr. Sky Warrior) Must complete level 1.

J.E.T.S. coaches use a progression focused curriculum to begin teaching intermediate level skills on tumbling, balance beams, uneven bars, vaulting, and the trampoline. Students are guided through the lessons at their own pace. Skills include handstand forward rolls, back bends, bridge kick over and more.

Sky Hawks: Level 3 (90 minutes)

Ages: All ages, must complete level 1 & 2

J.E.T.S. coaches use a progression focused curriculum to introduce advanced recreational skills on tumbling, balance beams, uneven bars, vaulting, and the trampoline. Students are guided through the lessons at their own pace. Skills include back walkovers, round offs, back handsprings, and more.


Boys recreational classes

Apache: Level 1 (60 minutes)

Ages: 5 and older 

J.E.T.S. coaches instruct students through a safe skill set progression on each apparatus, suited to meet each child’s individual needs. Introduce your child to skill work on tumbling, vault, pommel horse, rings, high bar, and trampolines. Skills included are forward and backwards rolls, handstands, cartwheels and much more.

Hot Shots: Level 2 (90 minutes)

Ages: 5 to 7 Must complete level 1

Upon completion of the Apache class, students will advance to Hot Shots. Students will learn swings on the high bar, round offs and hand stand hops on the floor. Additional skills include straight jumps on the vault, pike hold and front rolls on the parallel bars.

Raptors: Level 2 (90 minutes)

Ages: 8 and up, Must complete level 1

Upon completion of the Apache class, students will advance to Raptors. Students will learn swings on the high bar, round offs and hand stand hops on the floor. Additional skills include straight jumps on the vault, pike hold and front rolls on the parallel bars.

Ninja Parkour

Ninja Parkour (60 minutes)

Ninja Parkour is a free-style sport focused on speed, grace and style. Many of the skills we work on in the class are based on learning safe landings and basic flipping and tumbling. We do skills such as vaulting over mats, flipping on trampolines and springboards, strength and flexibility training, wall running, and swinging and flipping off of bars. All skill levels are welcome, the class is custom fitted per student. We use progressions to teach basic tricks to many advanced flipping and stunting skills.  We also have a warped wall and have started incorporating many ninja skills.


Tumbling

Tumbling (60 minutes)

Ages: 6 and up

J.E.T.S. offers tumbling classes for students who wish to primarily focus on their tumbling skills. J.E.T.S. tumbling class is great for cheerleaders, power tumblers and gymnasts alike.
