Governor Walz and the MN Department of Health have officially announced guidelines and reopening procedures for youth sports. J.E.T.S.will be allowed to open for all classes beginning Monday, January 4th.
I have attached a copy of the new executive order for your review. I ask for everyone’s continued support in adhering to the policies to ensure J.E.T.S. is in compliance and allowed to stay open.
Just as before the shut down, J.E.T.S. will be taking every measure possible to ensure the highest level of safety for everyone in the J.E.T.S. Family. Temperature checks and hand sanitizer will still be required upon entrance of the facility.
Below you will find a list of new policies and procedures as well as a Q & A list that will provide more information regarding our efforts to keep our gymnasts and families safe. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact the J.E.T.S. office for more information.

Q & A LIST
Q – What if an individual tests positive for the COVID-19?
A – Any individual who tests positive for COVID-19 must report the results to the gym immediately. Upon this notice, all members in direct contact with the individual will be notified by J.E.T.S. immediately. The individual with the positive test result must remain out of the gym for a minimum of 14 days, and until a negative test has been reported.
Q – Am I being billed tuition when the gym was closed?
A – Tuition was not charged during the gym closure. Any gymnasts who missed classes during the month of March will be offered make up classes that must be completed by the end of August. Students must be enrolled in classes to be eligible to complete make ups.
Q – How will cubbies be used?
A – We are asking athletes to leave all personal belongings behind when entering the gym to help enforce effective social distancing. Shoes can be given to a coach before class and the coach will place them in a designated area. There will be limited use of the cubbies in the locker rooms.
Q – Are temperatures being taken?
A – Yes, all persons entering the gym will be required to receive a touch free temperature reading.
Q – What if a temperature reading is above 99.5 degrees?
A – If a temperature registers above 99.5 degrees a second temperature reading will be taken. If the second test registers above 99.5 degrees, the person will be required to leave the premises.
Q – Is parent viewing permitted during practice?
A – There will be a limited amount of space designated for viewing. Only one parent per athlete will be permitted.
Q – Will gymnasts be kept apart?
A – Yes, gymnasts will have designated rotations and stations that will be spaced appropriately for effective distancing measures.
Q – Will equipment be sanitized?
A – Yes, all equipment will be sanitized after each scheduled rotation. Gymnasts will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting their equipment with the provided cleaning materials.
Q – Are the cleaning products harmful?
A – No, all cleaning products are proven effective against COVID-19 without causing harm or irritations to the user.
Q – How early can I arrive before class?
A – To limit the flow of traffic we ask that you do not enter the building more then 10 minutes before the start of your class.
Q – Will these polices and procedures be in place permanently?
A – As time progresses we will continue to evaluate the situation and adapt our policies and procedures to reflect the most updated recommendations from the MDH
A letter from the owner:
On June 1st J.E.T.S. began Phase 1 of our reopening process. This phase allowed our Team gymnasts to gradually return to the gym. It has been a resounding success. The gymnasts have followed all new policies and procedures laying a blueprint for the rest of our students to return safely.
J.E.T.S. will officially begin Phase 2 of our reopening plan on Wednesday, June 17th. We are so excited to welcome back our Recreational and Pre-School families to the gym. It has been almost 12 weeks since we closed our doors and I know I speak for all of the J.E.T.S. staff when I say the time certainly did not fly by!
However, every cloud does have a silver lining. While the safety of our athletes and their families has always been our top priority, the gym closure was used to review and implement creative and thoughtful new safety measures that continue to allow us to maximize our athletes training in a fun, positive and successful environment.
Registration for classes will be open immediately. Registration may be completed by contacting the J.E.T.S. office, visiting our website, or by logging into your parent portal. All J.E.T.S. members will need to re-register for class, even if previously enrolled before the closure. Please remember classes will be limited initially. If you are unable to find a time that meets your needs, simply inform the office and we will happily enroll you onto our waiting list for future class openings.
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!
